Popular Colours, Textures and Designs.
2026 Kitchen Trends: The return of minimalist, earthy and warm kitchen settings. The warm stone, sandy, cream and soft earthy tones paired with natural wood, terracotta and smoky blue cabinet colours. Minimalist kitchen designs are coming back into trend with matt, honed and leathered worktop finishes to create the natural look. The textured finishes are becoming more and more popular to suit the rise of the quiet luxury and understated aesthetic.
2026: Kitchen Trends: The Design.
Curved islands and curved cabinetry is back in trend to create that softer silhouette within your kitchen space. Thin profiles such as the 20mm thickness rather than the 30mm thickness create a modern and sleek design especially when paired with waterfall ends. Adding waterfall ends on either side of your island allow the worktop pattern to flow to the floor. Big veined materials such as BQS Canaletto work beautifully when the veins align from worktop through waterfall end, check out the photo below!

The Natural Stone Tones.
Caesarstone as a quartz supplier is very neutral in their colour content. The majority of their quartz designs are shifting away from pure whites and introducing beige, cream and textured materials. They have various collections featuring more traditional colours as well as a ‘Supernatural Collection’ which is inspired by natural marble and granite. These materials feature delicate veins to create a subtle visual texture. They also have a ‘Metropolitan Collection’ which features more urban and industrial inspired designs. Check out some of their designs below!

Popular Cabinet and Worktop Colour Pairings.
Check out a couple of popular colour matches between cabinetry and worktop colours fitting in with the 2026 kitchen trend. It is becoming a popular choice to have lighter unit colours and a darker island cabinet colour to create more of a feature within the space. Some people even choose to have a wooden worktops on their island and quartz for their main worktops. When designing your kitchen it’s important to think about the placement of your sink and hob. To increase their serving space cooking family meals we see many designs where the hob is used on the island rather than being built into the main worktop. Breakfast bars and pantry worktops are becoming increasingly more popular too!

2026 Kitchen Trends: Quartz vs Granite.
Quartz is a man-made material so therefore has a more predictable pattern as the colours are the same between slabs. You can guarantee the samples you see is what you would receive upon order. Granite is a natural material boasting a variety of beautiful patterns but is less predictable. Due to the nature of granite each slab is completely unique and colours vary between batches. This makes quartz a more popular choice as you are able to see exactly what you would have with little opportunity for colour variation.
Typically granite has a more dramatic veining design and structure creating a one of a kind variation and depth. You may prefer quartz for it’s more uniformed look when following the current 2026 kitchen trend.

Blending indoor and outdoor spaces with stone worktops. The last few years open plan kitchen dining areas have been the craze but connecting your kitchen diner to your outside space could be next on your to do list! Love hosting? Create more space by opening up your dining space to outside by creating an outdoor kitchen area. They make your garden a more functional, sociable and fun space to spend time in.
To withstand the changing UK weather we would recommend Granite or Sintered Stone when designing your outdoor kitchen worktops. These materials are both UV resistant, non porous, and able to withstand the elements. They are easy to clean, they don’t stain easily and the material will last for years when looked after properly. Some materials like marble are naturally softer and will tarnish over time making them unsuitable for outdoor use.
