Discover Caesarstone Countertops Pros and Cons. Caesarstone is one of the most popular Quartz suppliers known worldwide for manufacturing and supplying a wide range of Quartz surfaces. They’re one of the only suppliers to manufacture the Quartz themselves rather than sourcing from third parties. They focus on sustainability while still blending creativity, enduring strength and lasting beauty in each material.

While Caesarstone offers many benefits there are some drawbacks to be aware of before purchasing.

Caesarstone is a Quartz supplier. They produce a range of Quartz surfaces all created by Caesarstone’s own workshop staff across the globe.

The process of making the Quartz includes feeding and mixing the raw materials. These include quartz, feldspar, pigments and polymers.

They are all carefully selected, tested and mixed before being poured into a mould. The large slabs are formed and compressed under high pressure before being moved to the kiln.

By adding heat it creates the levels of strength and solidity of the finished product. The surface is then polished to create that perfect finish, tested for consistency and labelled ready to go.

Each slab is then allocated a batch number which ensures consistency within the batch. Each batch may vary slightly so fabricators will always order slabs for each project from the same batch.

Caesarstone is an interior Quartz surface most used in Kitchens, Utility Rooms, Bathrooms and Pantries. Due to the nature of Quartz it is unsuitable for outdoor use but is the perfect surface for busy family homes!

Caesarstone Quartz has exceptional durability, with a high resistance to stains, scratches and heat. It can withstand everyday use and wear from busy family life well. Being Quartz it is incredibly low maintenance with no re-sealing required unlike natural materials such as Granite and Marble.

Quartz resists stains and therefore moisture and bacteria. Having a safe and hygienic surface in the kitchen is incredibly surface and a good option when preparing food.

There are also a variety of dark and light colours and designs to choose from. The majority are fairly plain, polished, textured and delicate. Many of their designs are either marble inspired or contemporary concrete, creating a subtle and elegant look for your kitchen space.

Caesarstone is a long-lasting investment. It is designed to retain it’s appearance for many years when looked after. Simply wipe your surface down after use and use a stone polish to bring the surface back to it’s natural shine. Quartz will outlast your kitchen design and is usually only changed due to a kitchen update.

Compared to other Quartz suppliers Caesarstone can have a more premium price point. They do have an Essentials Range which typically sits at a mid-price Quartz price. Outside of their Essentials Range the cost is typically higher than most other brands. The cost increase is typically due to the material having either low or no silica content which makes it safer for fabricators to manufacture customer worktops.

The cost of Quartz is typically more expensive than other surfaces such as wood and laminate. Quartz is a long-term investment as it won’t need changing in a few years time due to wear like other surface materials so is more cost effective in the long run.

Caesarstone Quartz is heat resistant but not heat proof and can damage or crack if hot pans are placed directly on the surface. Stone sits fairly cold so placing a hot pan on the surface after having been in the oven can cause thermal shock and the surface to crack. We recommend using trivets for your hot pans on all stone surfaces.

Professional installation is required due to the nature and weight of the material which can sometimes be more costly than installing other surfaces.

The slabs come in a specific size so Islands larger than 3000mm x 1600mm will have to be joined. This works the same for hob and sink runs- if they’re longer than 3000mm they will require a join. Our installation teams match the silicone colour in as best as they can to ensure the completed look gives that wow factor.

There is less variation in Caesarstone Quartz surfaces compared to natural stone. This helps us to ensure that your whole kitchen will look the same with the same colours and patterns throughout the surfaces. The perfect continuity for your kitchen!

Caesarstone Arabetto, Calacatta Stillstorm & Vanilla Noir.

Due to the durability of Caesarstone it is well suited for busy, family households as well as homeowners looking for a more subtle and elegant design. It perfectly suits modern and contemporary kitchens, with the 30mm option typically being used for more character filled spaces such as farmhouse kitchens.

If you’re looking for a more budget friendly option there are other brands available which provide similar styles of Quartz at a lower cost. There is no difference in the durability, stain and heat resistance and no-porous qualities of the Quartz produced by other suppliers.

Although there are a few disadvantages with regards to cost, Caesarstone Quartz is a great long term investment when considering Quartz for your kitchen worktops. Make sure to check out their Essentials Range for the best deals and for more subtle and elegant design options. It is an ideal Quartz supplier to consider for busy kitchens in constant family use and we would recommend this supplier to all homeowners looking to update their kitchen surfaces.
