Quartz worktops are heat resistant but NOT heat proof. Stone naturally stays quite cold so placing a hot pan that has just come out of the oven straight onto the surface can cause the material to crack. We always advise using a trivet for hot pans with any stone material you choose. This ensures the surface doesn’t get damaged and you’re not left with the expense to replace the worktop!
