Custom bathroom countertops
Why should a stone bathroom countertop be boring? We have years of experience providing domestic and business customers with custom bathroom countertops that are both visually attractive, bespoke designed and seamlessly integrated.
One of the most common types of custom stone bathroom countertops that we provide is marble vanity tops and bath surrounds, and with new materials like quartz and sintered stone we are now able to offer custom made shower panels with a floor to ceiling single material sheet that is water resistant and eliminates the tile joints that will discolour over time.
Why Marble is best for bathrooms
Marble is a metamorphic rock formed when limestone is exposed to high temperatures and pressures. Marble forms under such conditions because the calcite forming the limestone recrystallizes to create a denser rock consisting of calcite crystals. This natural material is mined in block form and then cut into slabs with a one face finished.
For use as a bespoke bathroom countertop, 2cm is the preferred thickness, although on occasion 3cm can be obtained. It comes in a variety of surface finishes and a wide range of colours and patterns with each slab being completely unique. This material will always require sealing.
